Mat Kay (b. 1986) is a Virginia born, self-taught artist currently residing in Brooklyn, New York.

 

Mat uses his life experiences, interests, and defining moments as inspiration for his art. He stays grounded by embracing his vulnerability and encouraging authenticity. He hopes his art inspires people to fully embrace themselves. To never be embarrassed or scared of their emotions. To revel in happiness and to not waste their pain. To slow down and have existential moments.
